Employment Specialist - Contract Manager

Department: 415 - MHVP - Mont. County
Location: Silver Spring, MD

The Rock Creek Foundation, which is a part of the Affiliated Santé Group, provides community-based treatment of individuals with both psychiatric needs and developmental disabilities, employing values-based management services. RCF’s commitment to serving all populations led the organization to secure Medicaid funding for such services, a new use of Medicaid funds at the time. We aim toward an ideal of enlightened communities, which will demand the rights of all our clients’ life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness! 

We are currently seeking a mental health professional who will counsel disabled individuals and provide vocational rehabilitation services by performing the following duties. This is a Full-Time position located in Silver Spring, MD.

Shifts/Availability

  • Available Monday - Friday

Commitments

  • Interviews and evaluates disabled applicants, and confers with medical and professional personnel to determine type and degree of disability, eligibility for service, and feasibility of vocational rehabilitation
  • Accepts or recommends acceptance of suitable candidates
  • Determines suitable job or business consistent with applicant's desires, aptitudes, and physical, mental, and emotional limitations
  • Plans and arranges for applicant to study or train for job
  • Check’s work email at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Responsible for the satisfaction of all contract services and ensure that all of the terms of the contract are completed

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) 

  • Two (2) years’ experience in the Mental Health field.

  • Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with less than two (2) points as well as current automobile insurance.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Contracts management experience in Landscaping and Janitorial work

  • Ability to move/lift up to 50lbs.
