Part-Time Weekend Residential Counselor

Location: Silver Spring, MD

We are currently offering $500.00 sign on bonuses! Bonuses are payable in two installments ($250.00 with first paycheck, and $250.00 after satisfactory completion of six-month probationary period).

What we’re looking for:

Rock Creek Foundation, an innovative non-profit organization located in Silver Spring, MD, is accepting Part-Time applications for our Residential Counselor position to support our Residential Rehabilitation Program. This program aims to help individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illnesses, and those experiencing emotional and/or behavioral challenges take charge of their own lives and develop daily living skills needed to thrive independently by providing direct support.

We are currently hiring for the following shifts:

7a-3p P/T weekend | 3p-11p P/T weekend | 11a-7p P/T weekend

What you’ll do:

  • Counsel residents in identifying and resolving social or other problems.
  • Complete documentation regarding consumer’s daily activities, and incident reports as needed.
  • Escort individuals on trips outside establishment for shopping or to obtain services as needed.
  • Comply local, state, federal, and company regulations.
  • Implement resident rehabilitation plans and record appropriate data.
  • Record and submit all necessary documentation for billing.

What you’ll need:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) and one (1) year related experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with less than two (2) points as well as current automobile insurance.
  • Ability to move/lift up to 50lbs.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends for coverage.

What You’ll Get:

  • An hourly rate range is $17.00-$17.75
